It’s Monday and thankfully it is sunny here in Washington DC.

So no matter if are inside or enjoying the sunshine…here is a little something to take you away.

Make sure not to forget about the upcoming minis this weekend!

It’s Friday!  You made it! It’s time to jump for joy!

I am headed off to Baltimore for a fabulous wedding for this sweet couple.
Before you head out… don’t forget to check out the Valentine’s Minis!

Happy Weekend!

I feel very fortunate in this job to watch my clients grow up.  Not only is it amazing to have my clients grow with me as a photographer, but it makes for fun sessions and more genuine moments.  This was the case for this session back at the end of November.

It had been over a year since I had seen these two and while they had grown, it was still fun to see how their personalities hadn’t changed at all.  Miss Sydney with her pretty blonde hair and strikingly serious look was still the more shy of the two.  Jordan, in true Jordan fashion, hammed it up for the camera.  From the start, she was off running (literally) forcing me to run after her.  The last image of one sister looking at another’s recently missing tooth was one of their mom’s favorites.  It was by far one of my favorite moments as well and  yet again reminded me how lucky I am to have a peek into my client’s lives.

No their last name isn’t Libby Lane, but if you follow my blog then you know I talk about Libby Lane quite a bit! One of my very first clients, connected me with Nicolle from Libby Lane Press. She thought my love of children’s photography and Nicolle’s love of parties and all things creative would be a perfect fit. Well she was right. Nicolle has to be one of the sweetest people I know and I am glad to call her a friend. When she asked me to do a shoot for her own two “little loves”, I was so excited. Due to nap times of a three year old and 18 month old, we had to do the shoot during mid day. We found the perfect little spot of shade at a local park and had a blast! Her daughter Sophia adores the camera and was quite the ham. Cole on the other hand, not as much of a fan, but we captured him just as Nicolle loves him, fingers, blanket and all. Thanks Nicolle for such a fun shoot and a fun year! We have so much more ahead!

If you haven’t stopped by Libby Lane Press head here!

I recently met these sweet girls and their parents for a session at Baker Park in Frederick, MD.  All personality, they were a little camera shy at first.  After a few fairy tales and some egging on by Mom, they eventually decided to ham it up!  (Way to go Mom!)  There was so much I loved about how this session turned out- the colors, the gorgeous curly blonde hair, and the obvious adoration that they have for their Mom!  It was a great morning. Thanks girls!

I met Aiden last year as SweetBee was just really starting.  You may remember him as Buzz Lightyear or the one who I would affectionately refer to as “The kid with the glasses!!” (I have a soft spot for kids with glasses.  It’s just too cute.) I couldn’t get enough of Aiden last year.
Now a year later, and a year older, I still can’t get enough him.  He is all personality.  When the first thing out of his mouth was “I can’t wait to get a picture in my skinny jeans!” I knew it was going to be a great session! Thanks Aiden for such a fun day!

I met little Elliott and his family at Glen Echo Park. For those of you who haven’t been I highly recommend it. We were there on a Saturday and there were lots of fun activities going on. It was the perfect place for a two year BumbleBee session. Elliott was everything you can imagine in a two year old…fun…energetic…and absolutely certain nobody could keep him from running all over the park. Elliott was determined to find every manhole in Glen Echo Park and make sure to stomp on it. Thankfully for him…and for me…his parents were all about capturing his little personality and up for a fun and relaxed session!

I had been waiting for these beautiful girls for almost two months! My original session with Sydney and Jordan scheduled for back in April! But the rain kept it from happening…on several occasions! Finally we had a gorgeous day and it was certainly worth the wait! Thank Angela for sharing your two beautiful girls.
